JK Bank’s enforcement of SARFAESI Act implementation of RSS agenda: KTMF

Srinagar, Mar 22: The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation President Haji Muhammad Yasin Khan has condemned the enforcement of SARFAESI Act in Kashmir by the J&K Bank.
In a statement issued to KNS, expressing shock, Khan who also heads the Kashmir Economic Alliance said the J&K Bank has booked a client under the draconian act, which is injurious for the special status and interests of Kashmir.

“While other financial institutions didn’t victimize people of Kashmir through this Act our very own bank the J&K Bank has opened these gateways by volunteering to file first such case,” he said. Khan said a leading Srinagar- based daily has published the first such notice issued by the J&K Bank and that it should serve as an eye opener. “This seems to be trailer of how some hidden forces want to gag Kashmir and encroach upon their legitimate rights and resources.”

Khan said the institution seems to be working at the behest of the RSS to meet the interests of Nagpur. Threatening the government of far reaching consequences of the implementation of SARFAESI Act, Khan said it seems to be a deep-rooted conspiracy to deprive people of Jammu and Kashmir of their assets.

Khan cautioned Chief Minister Mehboboa Mufti that through such actions, the people in general and Kashmir Inc in particular were being pushed towards the wall and that such conspiracies will have far reaching consequences.

Asking the business community to forge unity in fighting such nefarious designs, Khan also appealed the civil society to play its role. “There needs to be a strategy to fight such designs,” Khan said.

Khan asked the State government to start politics of appeasement towards New Delhi and be concerned about the interests of Jammu and Kashmir State. “Business community is being chocked from all sides and we cannot be silent spectators to this slow poisoning.” (KNS)
