BANDIPORA, MARCH, 29: A meeting of District Level Task Force Committee of Bandipora district was held under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Sajad Hussain here today.
The meeting reviewed arrangements put in place for second phase of National Immunization day.
Among others, Chief Medical Officer, Deputy Chief Education officer and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
The Deputy Chief Medical officer informed the meeting about comprehensive strategy and Micro Action Plan to be adopted during this phase of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) Programme. It was given out that 62106 children up to the age of 5 years will be immunized at 325 vaccination booths set up in the district. Services of 1300 workers from health, ICDS and Education Departments, besides NGOs will be availed at vaccination booths and 65 supervisors will monitor the programme.
The meeting was informed that the Health Department has identified 5 transit points in 3 Medical Blocks of the district for the convenience of public. The department has also identified 25 high risk areas in the district where special arrangements have been made to cover children under the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC enjoined upon the officers to mobilize their men and machinery to ensure cent percent target achievement.
The DDC appealed parents to bring their children to nearby IPPI booth on April 02, 2017 for vaccination.
