Pulwama, March 23: A dozen youth were arrested in Arihal village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district last night for their alleged role in stone-pelting protests.
A senior police official of the district said that 12 youth were arrested during a nocturnal raid in the village.
He said the youth were involved in stone-pelting protests. “We have evidence of them hurling rocks on police and paramilitary forces,” said the official.
“They were repeatedly asked to come to the police station, but they failed to turn up. So we had to take this action.” (CNS)
