Chadoora, March 28: Amid clashes between protesters and Government Forces in the adjoining areas of encounter site, a fierce gunfight is in progress between militants and Forces personnel in Central Kashmir’s Chadoora town of Budgam district.
Reports reaching here said after receiving the inputs about the presence of militants in a residential house, Government Forces cordoned off Durbugh village of Chadoora town. “As the search party zeroed in on the house, militants resorted to indiscriminate firing, leading to a fierce gunfight. One to two militants are believed to be trapped inside the house,” a police official told Fast Kashmir.
Local sources said that the house in which the militants are trapped was blasted by Government Forces. The blasting video has gone viral on the social networking sites.
Sources added that army has completely blocked the Srinagar-Chadoora road to prevent protesters from advancing towards the encounter site.
Reports said that large number of youth on attacked CRPF convoy with stones that was heading towards the encounter site.
Witnesses said that the convoy came under a barrage of rocks in Nagam village, barely three kilometers from the site of the encounter.CNS
