Leaders barred from offering religious obligations

Srinagar, Mar 17: Chairman Hurriyat (G), Syed Ali Geelani, and Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, were again placed under house arrest and meanwhile police raided the residences of Mohammad Ashraf Laya and Omer Adil Dar. 
Ayaz Akbar in his statement while strongly condemning police action said that authorities are following repressive & despotic philosophy of Nazis’ and are hell-bent to strangulate every sincere voice in State.
In a statement issued to KNS, Spokesman said that pro-freedom leaders are not even allowed to carry their political activities through peaceful means even within the four walls and are barring their meet with media personnel.
Pro-freedom leaders are barred from offering religious obligations, said Ayaz Akbar and it tantamount to interference in religious matters. Criticising authorities for their repressive & arbitrary measures, spokesman said that it is having a negative implication over already grim situation in state.
Blaming administration for prevailing chaos, spokesman said that authorities have turned situation extremely explosive. 
Hurriyat spokesman said that resistance camp has already devised a programme about election boycott and called complete shutdown on April 9 & 12. We have already issued a protest programme and decided to concentrate on election boycott, said Ayaz Akbar.
Joint leadership urged people to follow programme and asked not to pay heed to fake news about protest programmes. 
Spokesman Ayaz Akbar today said that the joint resistance leaders have issued a programme for the people to follow for a month from 15th march to 15th April. He said that some rumour mongers are circulating their own strike programmes and attributing them to Hurriyat leadership. ‘People are requested not to pay any heed to such fake news’, he said.
