Srinagar, Mar 12: Hurriyat Conference (G) senior leaders Haji Gh. Nabi Sumji, G A Gulzar, Firdous Ahmad Shah and Mohammad Shafi Lone of Muslim Conference, JK Insaf Party and JK Employee’s Movement in a joint statement condemned the barbaric attitude of the Govt. of India towards the prisoners of conscience of Jammu and Kashmir languishing in different jails and termed it as the worst type of human rights violation.
In a statement issued to KNS, they said even the example of British rulers of India who being tyrant still provided all possible facilities to the ailing relatives of incarcerated Indian leaders belonging to the Freedom Movement of India.
The joint statement expressed profound grief on the sad demise of the mother of Mohammad Rafiq Ganaie, General Secretary of Muslim League.
The leaders while addressing the condolence meeting at the residence of the jailed leader in Islam Abad in South Kashmir prayed for the eternal peace to the deceased mother of M Rafiq Ganaie presently lodged in Kotbalwal Jammu.
The Hurriyat leaders saluted the sacrifices and exemplary patience qf the senior incarcerated Hurriyat leader. (KNS)
