Srinagar, Mar 18: Former Member of Parliament and senior Congress leader, Tariq Hameed Karra on Saturday asked People Democratic Party (PDP) that how many youth they are going to kill more.
Addressing a gathering here at his Shivpora residence, Karra said, “The party which was taking streets to condemn the killings of Kashmiri youth have killed, maimed and blinded many people in the 2016 agitation. I want to tell them how many people they want to kill more.”
He said that everyone’s existence is under threat here thereby he decided to fight against the forces who are committing atrocities on the people of Kashmir.
“I want to tell Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his collaborators here that don’t push Kashmir to walls. People of Kashmir are not going to forget the atrocities they bore and you have to face the wrath of people one day,” he said.
He said that the ‘naked atrocities’ on the people of Kashmir compelled him to leave the house (PDP) which he had constructed with a lot of dedication.
Meanwhile, he said that the questions he had raised in his resignation have not been answered so far. “I am yet to receive the answers of my questions I had mentioned in the resignation letter before PDP. The party should have answered my questions,” he said.
He said that his support in the by-elections is issue based. “I want to keep the fascist parties at bay and have decided to support NC in the parliament elections and if I feel any threat on my religion under the hands of BJP, I am ready to fight like the way our prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught us,” he said.
It is worth to mention here that JKPCC vice president and MLA Sopore Abdul Rashid Dar and MLC Ghulam Nabi Monga were also present on the occasion. (KNS)
