SRINAGAR, MARCH 21: The Department of Social Forestry, Kashmir, in collaboration with Border Security Force (BSF), J&K, today organized the International Day of Forests at the BSF STC camp, Humhama.
Pertinent to mention here that International Day of Forests is observed every year on March 21 to create awareness about the importance of forests among people. A resolution was passed by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly on November 28, 2012, to declare March 21 as International Day of Forests.
Director and Regional Director, Social Forestry, Chief Conservator of Forest, Regional Wildlife Warden, Kashmir, DFOs, IG, BSF Kashmir, and other concerned were present on the occasion besides students from various schools.
