Says election process ‘a futile exercise’
Srinagar, Mar 27: Senior Hurriyat (G) leader and JK Insaf Party chairman, G A Gulzar Monday supported the election boycott call given by Hurriyat.
Terming the election process as ‘a futile exercise’, Gulzar ina statement issued to KNS appealed the people to remain aloof from it.
“In the light of the recent peoples uprising the statement also appealed the world community to come forward to resolve the long pending Kashmir Dispute,” he said.
The statement elaborated that after the ravaged picture of world war 2nd, the world community pledged to fight collectively for the highest human values like, peace, justice and right to self determination as a matter of basic human right, irrespective of any color, caste or religion. “But, it is unfortunate that the people of Kashmir are still waiting for the implementation of UN resolutions and face the worst kind of ordeal at the hands of Indian Military Might,” Gulzar added.
