Market checking conducted in Budgam

Budgam, March 16: A group of officials from Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department led by Sheikh Abdul Ham conducted market inspection in various areas of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The team conducted the drive to book erring traders for violating various consumer protection and food safety standard laws in Nasrullahpora, Warwun, Soibugh, Mirgund and Bemina.

     During the drive rotten food items and adulterated milk were spoiled while fine was realized from various shopkeepers for violation of Food Safety and Standards Act.


    Haji Nazir Ahmed, Khurshid Ahmed Mir and Muhammad Ashraf were also part of the market checking team. (CNS)
