Srinagar, March 25: Strongly condemning the arrest spree ahead of shame elections, Jammu Kashmir National Front has said that pro-India politicians have already accepted defeat at the hands of the resistance leadership which has been detained or arrested.
Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, who has been remanded to police remand is undergoing detention in Rajbagh, police station is among the resistance leaders who have been put behind bars or detained at their houses.
The spokesman said that conducting elections in the disputed region is more an army operation and by keeping pro-freedom leaders caged has added to the discredit of the so called election process.
Stressing upon people to reject any kind of the so called process which is aimed at strengthening the Indian occupation, National Front spokesperson said that Kashmiri people cannot be befooled time and again.
Terming the caging of Nayeem Khan and other resistance leadership as a confession of defeat at the hands of genuine political leadership of Kashmir, the spokesperson said that curbing the political space has made Indian democracy a joke.
The spokesman lashed out at the ruling class of the disputed territory and said that arresting political leaders every now and then is a sheer instance of dictatorship. However, such undemocratic and illogical measures won’t deter Kashmiri resistance leaders to shun their just political stance vis-a-vis Kashmir dispute.
He said that as long as New Delhi and its local stooges stick to their biased and unfair policy about Kashmir, the situation would not show any positive change. For resolving the disputes like Kashmir, India needs to exhibit utter example of political wisdom and encourage and that only can pave way for the final resolution. (CNS)
