Police arrested two drug Peddlers  in Kulgam 

Kulgam, March 31: ​In its drive against Narcotic drugs, Police Kulgam succeeded to recover 40 kgs of Poppy Stra (Fukki) from the possession of two person at two different locations on 30-03-2017.

            In first occurrence, at around 1600 hours, police post Behibagh has recovered 10 kgs of poppy straw (Fukki) from the possession of one Mohd Ashraf Shah S/o Ghulam Qadir R/o Behibagh during the Naka checking at Sumo Stand Behibagh and apprehended the said person on spot. Subsequently, a case FIR no. 32/2017 u/s 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at police station Yaripora.

              In another instance, on the same day at 2200 hours, police post Jawahar Tunnel has also recovered 30 kgs of poppy straw (Fukki) from the possession of a passenger namely Mohd Rafiq Mir S/o Abdul Gani R/o Guzmail Kupwara concealed in two bags at Naka point command post NHW, who was travelling from Srinagar to Jammu in a private vehicle (Taveera) bearing regd. no. JK01D-3499, driven by one Farooq Ahmad Gania S/o Mushtaq Ahmad R/o Palpora Khag. In this connection a case FIR no. 62/2017 u/s 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at police station Qazigund and investigation taken up.
