Pays tributes to Padgampora martyrs
Srinagar, Mar 27: The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Monday paid tributes to Padgampora martyrs (Shaheed Shafi Shahbaaz Wani and Farooq Ahmad Hira) and said the slavery will prolong if we don’t revere the sacrifices of our martyrs.
In a statement issued to KNS, DFP general secretary Moulana Abdullah Tari said the martyrs by sacrificing their precious lives are testing us whether we uphold their mission or strengthen the hands of oppressors. “The elections are a testing time for us,” he said.
Expressing condolence and solidarity with the families of martyrs, Moulana said we are very proud of our brave-hearts who chose the way of Jihad rising against the tyrants.
Reiterating appeal for election boycott, Moulana said, “We’re resisting a system that has enslaved us. Those fighting elections are not our well-wishers as they are killing our children and have blinded them. We wonder how the champions of bullets and pellets are begging for votes in the name of peace and development even though tens of thousands of our people are languishing in jails.”
He challenged the authorities to compete with the resistance leadership on political front saying everything will be clear. “The continuous house detention and arrest of resistance leaders and youth, nocturnal raids, and other suppressive measures is frustration of the so-called government,” he said.
The DFP general secretary asked the world leadership to stress on all the stakeholders of Kashmir dispute to resolve it through dialogue or by implementing the UN resolutions.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Moulana Tari, a delegation comprising of Bashir Ahmad Gattoo, Farooq Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad and others visited Padgampora and extended the incarcerated party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah’s condolence message to the bereaved families. (KNS)
