SSP Kulgam holds Police Public meeting at Qazigund 

Kulgam, March 16: In its efforts to strengthen the police public relations, a police public meeting was today conducted at Townhall  Qazigund.The meeting was chaired by SSP Kulgam, Shridhar Patil and was attended among others by SDPO Qazigund Abdul Khalid, Dysp  traffic Imtiyaz Ahmad Rather, Dysp Nawaz Ahmad, SHO Qazigund Nazir Ahmad, Executive officer Municipal committee Qazigund, JK bank branch Manager, Teshildar Qazigund, ZEO Qazigund, Officials of Phe department, and other senior officer’s of various department’s.
A large number of respectables of Qazigund area, Transporters Association, members of trade union Qazigund participated in the meeting and highlighted various issues of pubic

importance.

While hailing efforts of police in managing traffic and controlling drug peddling, some speakers urged the police to sustain and streamline these efforts by putting a proper system in place. Many issues including black-marketing of essential commodities, drug peddling, eve-teasing, encroachment of footpaths, wrong parking, etc came up for discussion during the meeting. We have extended our full cooperation to police in curbing drug menace,” said a trader who was part of the meet. “We too have social obligation and charity begins at home so we have taken corrective measures as police can’t be everywhere to make things right,” said few other speakers.

SSP Kulgam Shridhar Patil patiently listened the problems being face by the people of the Qazigund area and assured them redressal of grievances in a phased manner.
SSP while speaking on the occasion, assured the participants for all possible help for redressal of the problem highlighted by them and stressed upon maintaining good police

public relations in order to create peaceful and crime free atmosphere in the area.
