Srinagar Mar 28 : A 16-year old boy from Srinagar bagged two medals in the recently held State judo championship at Jammu. In the event organized by J&K Judo Association under the auspices of J&K State sports Council, Sheikh Saalim bagged two medals including one silver and one bronze. Saalim first bagged silver medal in his weight category of Under-60 kilogram and then went on to claim bronze medal on open category. Saalim was selected for the State championship on the basis of his medal winning performance in District championship held at Srinagar.

IRP 6th Bn organizes badminton tournament Srinagar, Mar 27: Under its Civic Action Programme, IRP 6th Bn JK Police organized badminton tournament for boys and girls of district Srinagar at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Stadium, today. SSP CIK Vivek Gupta inaugurated the tournament. In the event the players under the age of 14, 17 and 19 years are participating. The tournament will be played on knock out basis. Among others Commandant IRP 6th Bn SS Kotwal, Commandant IRP 2nd Bn Muhammad Aslam Choudary, SSP Railway Dilip Kumar, SO DIG/AP Ali Muhammad Reshi and other officers were present in the inaugural ceremony.
