Tassaduq represents new hope for youth: Manhas

‘Need to strengthen institutions of governance in JK’

Srinagar, Mar 24: Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLC, Zaffar Iqbal Manhas has said the challenges the State of Jammu and Kashmir is grappling with give us an opportunity to work collectively in more focused manner for the betterment of our people.
“We can only ensure a better deal for ourselves when we understand the ground realities. Instead of looking here and there, we must focus on to strengthen the institutions of governance that only can lead to our prosperity and empowerment,” he said while addressing various public meetings at Shadaab Kerawa, Chanchmarg, Diaroo in Shopian district as a part of the on-going election campaign.
He also interacted with various public deputations from Kathalon, Gattipora, Mujpathri, Donarroo, Pahlipora, Zaraken, Chown, Zowora, Nambalbal, Boharihalon, Dachana, Hirpora, Watho Narpora and other areas.
Manhas said it is unfortunate that people have been kept busy with non-issues which have badly affected our growth and brought only miseries to everyone. “It is now high time we accept the hard realities and move ahead in pursuit of peace and development,” he added.
While applauding Tassaduq Hussain Mufti’s candidature for Anantnag Lok Sabha seat, Manhas said Tassaduq represents a new hope for the people especially youth.
“Tassaduq has a very unconventional approach towards the governance delivery mechanism and he will infuse energy in the party folds. He is a young man who can relate with the youth easily and find new avenues for their career-building,” he added.
Appealing the people especially the youth to vote Tassaduq to Parliament, Manhas said the future belongs to the youth and all of their honest and sincere endeavours must be backed wholeheartedly. (KNS)
