Army unveils slain Captains statue in Udhumpur

 

Udhampur, April 20: A statue of Captain Tushar Mahajan was unveiled at the ‘T’ Morh Junction of Udhampur district of Jammu Division on Thursday.

Captain Tushar Mahajan was an Indian Army Special Forces Officer who was killed in an anti-militant operation in South Kashmir’s Pampore town outside EDI building. He was posthumously awarded Shaurya Chakra by the Indian President Parnab Mukerji that was received by his father.

The slain Captain who was commissioned into a Special Forces Battalion in 2010 was the resident of Udhampur. (CNS)
