Srinagar, April 18: The government has ordered closure of colleges in Kashmir and higher secondary school Shopian for the second day Wednesday after widespread protests by students yesterday.
According to the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, teaching work in all colleges of Kashmir division shall remain suspended on April 19 (Wednesday) as a precautionary measure.
According to the District Magistrate Shopian, all Higher Secondary Schools of the district and Degree College Shopian shall remain closed on April 19 in order to maintain law and order situation.
The students of the college are informed that no class work shall be held on the said date.
Meanwhile, class-work in Kashmir University campuses shall remain suspended on April 19 (Wednesday), but all examinations will be held as per schedule. (KNS)
