Degree College Pulwama incident a vicious act of Forces: AJKSU

Srinagar, April. 16: All Jammu & Kashmir Students Union has termed the violence in Government Degree College Pulwama as a vicious act of security forces.

In a Press Release the spokesman of organisation has expressed anguish over the incident, where scores of students were injured.

AJKSU president Syed Tajamul Imran condemned what he called ‘vicious act of forces’ against the student community. “Such acts should be strictly checked so as to avoid student community being involved in violence and preventing them from becoming outlaws”.

“Using pellets and teargas shells against students in a college is sheer brutality on part of the largest democracy and is highly deplorable. We will not tolerate brutalities done against our people in general and student community in particular”, the statement further reads.
“We respect humanity and our youth has proven that by protecting CRPF men during last Sunday’s by-polls in Srinagar-Budgam constituency and leaving them unhurt. Media should show that side of Kashmir as well”, said Ajksu vice president Junaid dar.

Add. Spokesman of union Nasir Khuehami said that there is no connection between the forces and the educational institutes but despite that the forces has entered in the Degree College and have beaten the students there.

“The educational institutions must not become the political hub,” he said. “Those responsible for the incident and beating of students must be punished,” he demanded.

Meanwhile All j&k students union has declared its full support to protest call given by KUSU over the vicious act of state forces at GDC Pulwama.
AJKSU had already appealed student community to protest against this inhumane act , before they meet the same fate. Now AJKSU has extended their full support to call given by KUSU and request student community to protest against this in all educational institutions of j&k .
