Extends condolences with bereaved family

Srinagar, Apr 01 : Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani, expressed his heartfelt grief over sad demise of wife of close neighbor, Miya Bashir Ahmad. Syed Ali Geelani while extending his condolences with the bereaved family, said that every soul has to experience the taste of death and death is not the expiry of the soul but it is departure from the body. We pray for her heavenly abode and for the patience of her family, said Syed Ali Geelani.
In a statement issued to KNS, spokesman said that since Syed Ali Geelani is under house arrest and forces & police personnel are deployed outside his residence and couldn’t extended his condolences with the bereaved family. The grieved family expressed their desire and insisted Syed Ali Geelani to lead funeral prayers. The dead body was brought to his residence where Syed Ali Geelani after offering funeral prayers addressed mourners.
Death is journey to hereafter and we shall face the divine accountability of our doings and shall find outcome of our deeds accordingly, said Syed Ali Geelani while addressing the mourners.
Syed Ali Geelani during his address reminded the duties of faithful Muslims & said that as we belong to an oppressed nation and hence each and every soul must perform his assigned duties and resist tyrannical forces with available means.
Quoting the verses from Holy Quran, Syed Ali Geelani said that we shall be asked that when innocents were massacred, blinded, properties ransacked & why didn’t you feel the responsibility to raise voice. On the resurrection day, the people in response will reply that they were weak, scared and couldn’t find any way out to help oppressed and oppose tyrannical forces. He will be asked that Lord’s land was vast enough to live in and had an option to leave the territory. We are obliged, either we must fight the tyrannical forces with available source or leave the place.
In present circumstance, it is impossible to migrate as there are compulsions but no lame excuse for maintaining silence, said Geelani.
In given circumstances, we need to exhibit our determination, commitment and resolve for resolution of sacred goal, said Syed Ali Geelani.
Syed Ali Geelani said that let us pledge that we won’t budge before these forces and will pursue our mission with zeal and commitment. (KNS)
