Jammu, Apr 13: Governor N. N. Vohra has paid tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary which is being celebrated today.
In a message, the Governor recalled that Dr. Ambedkar, an erudite scholar and a most outstanding legal luminary, has made invaluable contribution to the framing of the Indian Constitution. He also recalled Dr. Ambedkar’s commitment towards nation building, particularly in regard to the uplift of the weaker sections of society.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, has paid rich tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar, the architect of Indian constitution, on his birth anniversary.
In her message, the Chief Minister described Dr. Ambedkar as a great social reformer and legal luminary who would always be remembered for his role in framing the Indian Constitution.
Mehbooba Mufti also recalled Dr. Ambedkar’s contribution in the upliftment of the downtrodden and weaker sections of the society in the country.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh has paid glowing tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary.
In his message, the Deputy Chief Minister recalled Dr Ambedkar as a great statesman, social reformer and legal luminary who played a pivotal role in framing of the Indian Constitution.
He also remembered Dr. Ambedkar’s contribution in uplift of the needy, downtrodden and weaker sections of the society. (KNS)
