‘Indian forces have rendered innumerable HR violations in Kashmir’
Srinagar, Apr 15 : Hurriyat Conference HCJK convener and Muslim conference Chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar, Mahaz Azadi President Muhammad Iqbal Mir, International forum for Justice chairman Muhammad Ahsaan Untoo, Young men’s league chairman Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Tehreeq Istiqamat chairman Gh Nabi War on Saturday ‘deplored’ Indian security forces for using naïve people as human shields to fight resistance in Kashmir.
In their joint statement issued to KNS, the leaders citing a recent video in which forces are using an innocent youth as human shield to pass through the market of Budgam and to challenge stone-pelting. “Such incidents is the sheer violation of Geneva Convention 3rd and 4th under Article 23 and 28, besides additional protocol (I) & II, under Article 51 clause 7 and under Article 13 clause 1,” Iqbal said, adding that Indian armed forces have rendered innumerable human rights violations in Kashmir.
MeA reiterates upon worldly Human Rights bodies to take cognizance of such incidents and put pressure upon New Delhi for the early and lasting negotiable settlement of Kashmir for ensuring peace and stability of South Asia.
