Flood waters enter houses, as Drumra Nallah breaches

Doda, April 24: Heavy rains have caused havoc in Doda district of Jammu region. Reports said that several houses at Mohalla Irfan Abad of Doda town have been waterlogged as flood waters from Druma Nallha has entered into these residential houses as well as agricultural land of the inhabitants.

     Locals who expect some relief measures from the government informed news agency CNS that residential houses of Javed Khora, Attaullah Tramboo, Ghulam Nabi Patigaroo and Muhammad Ashraf Bhat have completely waterlogged, causing extensive damage to their property and agricultural land.

   “Neither any protection bund was created nor dredging have taken place in the nallah from past several years. The callous attitude of the government have put the lives of the locals to risk and every time it rains, locals suffer heavily,” locals said. (CNS)
