Srinagar, April 24: On the instruction of APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a Hurriyat leaders delegation including Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Abdul Rashid Untoo, Ghulam Qadir Beigh, Ghulam Mohammad Kateri, Hakim Ahsan, and others visited Patrigam village to offer condolences with the bereaved family of Younis Ganaie the Kashmiri youth who was martyred by the government forces on Sunday at Hyatpora.
While expressing their solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved family on behalf of Mirwaiz and entire APHC, the delegates prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Mirwaiz, who continues to be under house arrest from past one month, spoke to the bereaved family on telephone and expressed his solidarity and sympathy. He told the bereaved father that entire Kashmir stood with the family in this time of grief, adding, the mission for which Younis and other lacs of martyrs laid their lives will be taken to its logical conclusion. He said that the sacrifices by the Kashmiri youth are the precious asset of the movement and their mission will be taken to its logical conclusion. He told the father to be patient in these testing times and prayed for the deceased soul.
Meanwhile, senior hurriyat leader, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressed various gatherings in Kulgam and Pulwama districts. While condemning the retributive policies of the state, Waza told the gatherings that Kashmiri voices cannot be repressed by military might. He said that Kashmiris were giving sacrifices for a just cause.
The hurriyat spokesman has strongly condemned the use of force against the protesting students in Srinagar. He said that by arresting students and subjecting them to torture, the government was pursuing a policy to ruin the future of the new Kashmiri generations.
The spokesman has also condemned the use of force against the protesters in Padgampora Awantipora. He said that such acts were not only dictatorial, but were also undemocratic and violated basic moral codes of humanity.
