Asks India, Pakistan to accept the offer
Kulgam 05 April: Welcoming US remarks on Indo-Pak relations and Kashmir AIP Supremo and MLA Langate, Er. Rasheed has asked New Delhi to shun ego and work for a peaceful and prosperous South Asia. While addressing public meetings at Chadder, Khee Jogipora and some other places of Kulgam, Er. Rasheed said “Kashmiris who are the victim of conflict have suffered much as such, they welcome and respect all those voices seeking a peaceful resolution to the dispute. America being the super power has huge responsibility not only to deescalate the tension between India and Pakistan but must ensure that Kashmiris get Right to Self Determination for which they have been laying sacrifices since 1947. Though America and world community should have intervened much earlier, still it is encouraging that US envoy to UN Nikki Haley has shown concern without taking sides and said that US president Donald Trump has given signal not to wait for tension to escalate to appoint where things would go out of hands. Kashmiris appreciate the US Spirit and expect President Donald Trump will act like a statesman”. Er. Rasheed appealed Narinder Modi and Nawaz Sharief not to miss the opportunity and convert confrontation into coordination, reconciliation and cooperation, so that people of the subcontinent can live in state of peace and brotherhood. He said “Let India not treat Kashmiris as its enemies and understand that sooner Kashmiris are given Right to Self Determination better it will be in India’s own interests”. Party District President Dr. Bari Nayak and Spokesperson Inam-un-Nabi also addressed the meetings. Later while talking to media persons on sideline of the meetings Er. Rasheed added that with Modi having a huge mandate and Pakistan always supporting Kashmir cause, there is least reason to ignore US advice and offer.
