Srinagar, April 8: Militant outfit Tehreek-ul-Mujhadeen has said the India is using its media to malign the ongoing freedom struggle in Kashmir. The outfit said that Indian media is trying to present militants as enemies of Kashmir Police and Hurriyat leadership. “We target Indian troopers and Task Forces while they in retaliation attack Kashmir police to malign the image of militants. To harm the separatist leaders, India has been using its media,” TeM chief Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman said in a statement to news agency CNS.
“The concept of independent media in India has been lost. The recent malicious reports of Hindustan Times and other media houses are far from truth and based on propaganda. TeM has always hailed the role and services of Hurriyat leadership. Everyone associated with freedom struggle is asset to us and whosoever will harm them will be treated as enemy of this freedom struggle,” he said.
“Our attacks have frustrated India and that is why India is using media to present militants as foes of Kashmir police and separatist leadership,” he said and warned those who aid and assist India for rewards and promotions. (CNS)
