Srinagar, April 15: Chairman Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has been released from central jail Srinagar on bail today. He was presented before 1st additional district and session judge who after a long discussion ordered to release him on bail. He was taken back to Srinagar central jail from where he was released this evening. Chairman JKLF was arrested by police on 18th March 2016 and sent to central jail on a 12 days judicial remand. On 29th march he was again presented before 2ndadditional session’s judge who again remanded him to judicial custody until 11th April 2017. On 11th he was again presented before court and remanded until 15th April 2016. It is worth to mention that JKLF chairman was put in jail on a concerted case under 13 unlawful activity act dated 17/2016.
Another JKLF senior member Muhammad Irfan Khan who also has been languishing in central jail Srinagar from last 30 days was also today presented before court and court has again sent him on an 8 days judicial remand. He was again taken back to central jail Srinagar. JKLF strongly condemns his prolonged incarceration.
