JKLF leaders and activists continue election boycott campaign, ask people to boycott election drama

Srinagar.  April 08: Despite heavy restrictions and oppression, JKLF leaders and activists continued with their election boycott campaign in various parts of south and central Kashmir. JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, senior vice president Muhammad Yasin Butt and senior leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt continued with their campaign in a peaceful manner in south Kashmir and today these leaders along with JKLF district president Muhammad Ishaaq Ganie and district president Pulwama Javed Ahmad Butt and others held boycott program at Sutkipora, Hoogam and Kanalwan in Bijbehara. Leaders also visited various parts of Islamabad town and addressed various gatherings, held a door to door campaign and asked people to stay away from so-called elections. Some of the places visited included Langan bal, Frisal, Chanxer in Kulgam.  Similarly JKLF chief organizer Siraj ud din Mir along with district president Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan, M. Ramzan Sofi, Meraj ud din, Molvi Rashid, Bilal Dar, Nazir Ahmad Hajam, Muhammad Akram Khan, Abdul Majeed Hakim and Muhammad Maqbool continued their efforts in tehsil Beeru, tehsil Chadoora and Khan Sahib Budgam, Lasjan, Nasarullahpora and Doniwar. JKLF zonal general secretary Sheikh Abdul Rashid along with Muhammad Maqbool Teploo, Habib ullah Dar, Fayaz Ahmad and others continued their Boycott campaign in Soura, Upper Soura, Aanchaar, Bechpora, Ahmad Nagar, Umer Hair, Ilahi Bagh, Pandech, Malabagh, 90 feet Road, Paloach Pora, Khanyaar, Dukaan I Sangeen, Malik Aangan, Feteh Kadal, Mohalla Syed Ali Akbar, Sona Masjid, Mohalla Rupreshi Sahib, Habakadal, Tenkipora and Qilla Masjid. JKLF leaders also visited Lajoora, Pinglana,Koiel and Parigam in Pulwama, Zargan, Kandajan, Achwara and Haf Shrimal in Shupina and Kangan in Ganderbal district and asked people to stay away from upcoming polls. It is worth to mention that Police early morning today raided the residences of JKLF district president Budgam Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan and JKLF senior activist Fayaz Ahmad at Khanyaar and harassed his family. JKLF strongly condemns this police highhandedness.

JKLF incarcerated Chairman Muhammad yasin Malik has expressed its heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of the mother of senior JKLF member and block president Rafiabad Jenab Abdul Rashid Mir (Resh Moal). While Abdul Rashid Mir is associated with JKLF, his another brother is also in Jail from last many months. JKLF delegation comprising of Zonal leader Farooq Ahmad Dar, district presidents Abdul Rashid Magloo, Syed Nisar Jeelani along with Muhammad Altaf Gojree, Ghulam Qadir Khan, Khizar Muhammad and Muhammad Azeem Zargar participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased mother and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
