Srinagar// Participation in Indian elections amounts to dishonoring the sacrifices rendered by our innocent martyrs. As a living nation we need to remain vigilant and boycott these farce elections. This was stated by JKLF leaders while continuing their election boycott campaign in various areas of south and central Kashmir. JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal along with Zahoor Ahmad Butt, Javed Ahmad Butt, Muhammad Ishaaq Ganaie and others are running this campaign in south Kashmir while as leaders’ Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Muhammad Hanif along with activists Peer Abdul Rashid, Nazir Ahmad Hajam, Abul Hamid Malik, Nisar Ahmad and others continued their Door to Door campaign in central Kashmir. Muhammad Iqbal and Ghulam Hassan continued their efforts in Kulgam while as Yasir Ahmad and Shafat Ahmad ran campaign in Ganderbal district. Various areas visited by JKLF leaders and activists included KanjiUlar, Adjan, Matipora, Berthipora, Betamaran in Shupian , Maisuma, Gawkadal, Basant Bagh,Ganpatyaar,Nai Sadak, Manderbagh, Saida Kadal,Hassan Abad, Moti Mohalla and Nishat in Srinagar, Khansahib, Kremshura, Wagur,Draigam, Burgoo, Chadoora, Bogam,Kralpora and Machowa in Budgam, Mohanpora.Chaunsar, Chawalgam and Badroo Yaripora in Kulgam, Darend,Hudoora,Aalsataing and Busarbugh in Ganderbal and Behrampora, Nandpora, Mandwar, Sofi Pora ,Dantar and Khanbal in Islamabad district. While appealing people to boycott upcoming election Drama, JKLF leaders distributed written message from united resistance leadership urging them to stay away from voting on 9th and 12th April 2017. JKLF leaders Noor Muhammad Kalwal and Zahoor Ahmad Butt also addressed various gatherings during their campaign. It is worth to mention that JKLF senior in Ganderbal Mushtaq Ahmad of Koreg has been today arrested by police at Bihama Chowk. JKLF strongly condemns his arrest.JKLF incarcerated Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to JKLF martyr Sheikh Tariq on his martyrdom anniversary today. While recalling Sheikh Tariq, JKLF chairman said that Struggle and sacrifice of Shaheed sheikh Tariq will be always remembered. A condolence meeting was held at Chanapora today. JKLF leaders’ secretary general engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, Muhammad Sideeq Shah and Peer Abdul Rashid participated in the meeting. While recalling the struggle and sacrifices of Martyr Sheikh Tariq, JKLF secretary general said that his struggle, braveness, wisdom and resilience will always be remembered. Meanwhile JKLF has expressed its heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of the mother of senior JKLF member and block president Rafiabad Jenab Abdul Rashid Mir (Resh Moal). While Abdul Rashid Mir is associated with JKLF,his another brother is also in Jail from last many months. JKLF delegation comprising of Abdul Rashid Magloo, Syed Nisar Jeelani, Muhammad Altaf Gojree, Ghulam Qadir Khan, Khizar Muhammad and Muhammad Azeem Zargar participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased mother and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
