JKSM continued its election boycott campaign in Budgam

SRINAGAR  APR 08: In continuation to its election boycott campaign, JK Salvation Movement leaders today visited different areas of Budgam district. During the daylong visit, they distributed anti-election material including handbills, posters, organized boycott rallies and appealed public to stay away from sham polls being conducted in the state under the shadow of gun. This is forces drill and after gaging voices, caging leaders and activists, the elections have lost its relevance, leaders said while addressing people. People were apprised that the killers of innocent people do not deserve our votes.
The people were apprised folly being played by India & said they are misleading the world community by portraying participation of people as their consent in Indian hegemony.
We should not vote and support those who, blinded hundreds of our children, killed thousands and while refereeing to people’s uprising in 2016, the leaders said that how can we forget those killed, maimed and arrested. They introduced the lethal weapons like pellet and Pawa and now same people are begging for our votes.Leaders also visited the houses of pellet  victims and martyrs and express solidarity with them.
Meanwhile APHC leader and JKSM Chairman Zafar Akbar Bhat paid
glowing tributes to Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Illahi on his 24th martyrdom anniversary. He also paid tributes to Shaheed Mohammad Ismail Bhat, Fayaz Illahi, Haji Abdul Gani, Jaffar Jabali, Abu Tariq, Umar Sultan, Zafar Iqbal, Farooq Ahmad Wani, Zahid, Shaheed Dilawar and Shaheed Burhan Wani.
Meanwhile Salvation Movement condemned the detention of its leader for Jammu province, Hilal Ahmad Beg .Mr Beg was picked up by police and lodged in police station Pir Mitha.
Mr Beg was arrested during night raid and police dragged him from his home.
Party demanded his immediate release. It is very barefaced act ,said Salvation Movement and condemned police for their brutal approach.
Zafar also paid glowing tributes to martyrs of Aabi Guzar, Machwa Chadoora, Budgam, Abiguzar & pledged to take their mission to its logical conclusion. Recalling the services of Maqbool Illahi, Zafar said that the he was brave leader with exemplary commitment and steadfastness towards the movement. (PTK)
