Kashmiri Research Scholar Bags Award in PATHCON-2017

Srinagar, April 28:  G.R Bhat, A Young Kashmiri Research Scholar, from South Kashmir’s Tral area , Department of Biotechnology, SMVD-University brought laurels to university by wining second prize in best poster presentation at National Level Pathology Conference PATHCON-2017, which was held at Government Medical College, Jammu, on 22nd April, 2017. As per the official reports , The said award winner is pursuing Doctoral Degree in Biotechnology under the supervision of Dr. Rakesh Kumar Assistant Professor , Department of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU). The presented study, ‘Effect of Cigarette Smoking in Changing histopathology Among Lung Cancer Patients’ has been carried out in collaboration with Dr. Rahul Sharma, Dr. Jyotsna Suri and Dr.Deepak Abrol of GMC Jammu. More than fifty posters were presented by various delegates from different parts of country like Mumbai, Delhi, Amritsar, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh in the conference. Meanwhile , Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU Dr. Sanjeev Jain congratulated to G.R Bhat for bagging the award and bringing the laurels to University.
