Doda, April 20: In a devastating midnight fire, at least 40 shops, thee government offices and para-military camp office have gutted at Bhalessa area of Doda district in Chenab valley on Thursday.

Reports said that in the fire incident caused loss of Property worth millions of rupees; however, no one was hurt.

As the fire was reported in the main market around 12 in the night, firefighters started dousing the flames in next ten minutes, locals said.  However, the fire was out of control and was controlled only after six hours, reports said.

Police has started an investigation into the cause of the fire.

A couple of day’s back, scores of shops and residential houses were gutted in the same area.     Meanwhile, an Army signal centre in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district suffered extensive damaged in a fire incident.

Sources told CNS that flames emanated from the signal centre of 19 Infantry Division at Baramulla, causing extensive damage to the signal centre. A police official said that though the building suffered extensive damage, however, no one was injured. (CNS)
