Srinagar, Apr 17: Strongly condemning the use of force against the peaceful students across Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader and Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan Monday said that New Delhi and the state government should realize that Kashmiris are united and demand freedom from India in one voice.
In a statement issued to KNS, Khan praised the student community for their velour and resolve.
He said that freedom is not so far when young generation is so determined.
Khan said that today’s student protest against the ‘atrocities’ was a clear message to India that freedom struggle has transferred successfully to the younger generation that will not accept any kind of ‘atrocities’.
He said that India should read writing on wall and desist from its illogical stance about Kashmir dispute.
Khan added that heckling of youth, tear gassing peaceful protesters and baton charging them is not acceptable to Kashmiris.
He said that “brazenly beating students and killing innocent people on roads is nothing but a message to common Kashmiris that they are slaves of a large military power.”
JKNF chief said that “police and other forces have launched a cruel crackdown in nook and corner of the valley and youth are being ruthlessly arrested and booked under fabricated cases and their career is being ruined.”
He said that today’s student protest was against the ‘increasing atrocities’ on state level. (KNS)
