Anantnag April 14: In continuing its drive against drug menace,
Acting on specific information, Police party of Police Post General Bus Stand Anantnag, headed by Division officer Sub inspector Gowher Malla along with SI Shahid Sarafaraz & SI Majid Nadeem under the supervision of SHO Anantnag Inspector shri Ayaz Geelani laid a Naka near SK Colony on KP Road Anantnag in their jurisdiction.
During naka checking, police apprehended a drug pedler which was identified as Javaid Ahmed Bhat son of Mohd Ibrahim Bhat Resident of Anchidora and recovered 17 bottles of maxcoff 100ml ( codiene phosphate) during his personal checking.
In this regard case FIR Number 51/2017 under section 8/21 NDPS stands registered in Police Station Anantnag, further investigation taken up.
