Police arrests four youth in Anantnag for circulating fake Hizb posters
HM had distanced itself from issuing posters

Srinagar, April 05: Police has arrested four persons in Anantnag district for circulating posters of Hizbul Mujahideen threatening few residents and maligning their names by labeling them as informers of forces.
As per residents of Seer Hamdan in the district, some unknown persons in November last year had circulated the posters in the area maligning the eight respectable residents by labeling them as informers. These posters were circulated on social networking sites as well, the residents said.
Police after registering an FIR number 90/2016 investigated into the matter for three months and arrested four young men few weeks ago who accepted of having circulated fake posters of Hizbul Mujahideen.
SP Operations, Anantnag, Mubashir Bukhari told KNS that police has arrested four persons who had made the posters on the name of militants to malign image of the eight residents of Seer Hamdan.
Six days after the posters were circulated, the residents said that Hizb too had circulated posters in Seer Hamdan distancing their outfit from having circulated any posters about the eight persons. (KNS)
