Rail services suspended again for security reasons in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 10: Rail services have again been suspended for security reasons in the Kashmir valley, where separatists have called for general strike today in protest against the death of eight civilians in security force and police action yesterday when violence erupted during polling in Srinagar Parliamentary constituency.
“We have suspended all train services between Srinagar-Badgam and Baramulla in north Kashmir,” a railway official told UNI.
He said similarly, there will be no train service between Badgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region for security reasons in view of the strike call. UNI
