Secretary Tourism and Floriculture takes stock of ongoing works

 

Warns officials of stern action for laxity

Jammu, Apr 18: The secretary Tourism and floriculture in an extensive and exclusive meeting in Jammu took stock of the ongoing works under state plan and PMDP in tourism and floriculture sectors the meeting which was attended by all the CEOs of tourism development authorities of Jammu Division along with the additional secretary Tourism, the MD cable car Shamim Wani ,JD planning,JD tourism Jammu ,Exen tourism Jammu, Exen JKTDC and other officers of Tourism and floriculture. The officers were instructed to speed up the work on the projects under the state plan without any escalation in the proposed cost and without compromising on the ecological and sustainable tourism methods and means .
The secretary Tourism also warned the officials of stern action in case of any laxity in maintaining their respective tourism spots ,The secretary also urged them to preserve and promote the gifted naturally existing tourism attractions of the region so that Jammu can become round the year tourism destination,the secretary also instructed MD cable car to speed up the work on Jammu rope way project and also explore the possibility of a cable car in Rajouri area ,He instructed the Ceo Baderwah to organise the Baderwah festival in a big way this year to showcase the tourism potential of Chenab valley FAROOQ A shah also urged the officers to remain present in their respective headquarters and use their delegated authority for enforcement of tourist trade act in the interest of facilitating the visitors,The secretary reminded the officers about the keen interest of Honble CM to make JK as the dream destination of the country and Jammu as an independent tourism destination.
