Seeks immediate action against involved personnel

Banihal, Apr 18: District President National Conference Ramban, Sajjad Shaheen on Tuesday condemned ‘brutal action’ by the security forces against the students in Banihal town, on Jammu- Srinagar National Highway, and sought immediate action against such of the personnel who committed human rights violations by targeting youngsters.
“The present PDP-BJP dispensation has lost the moral authority to rule”, he said while referring to the chaotic situation across the state.
He said the students were holding peaceful demonstrations against excessive on some of their fellow students in the town.
The District President said that the administration has failed in controlling the situation due to lack of political direction. “Due to wrong policies of the present government, the state has almost been reverted back to 1990 scenario”, he added.
Shaheen expressed anguish over the excesses and also sought action against the forces committing serious human rights violations. (KNS)
