Students continue to clash with police at Srinagar

Colleges, Higher secondary’s reopen today
Srinagar, Apr 24: Clashes erupted between SP Higher secondary students and police on Monday in Lal Chowk area of Srinagar after they were disallowed to march against the alleged thrashing of students in degree College Pulwama on Apr 15.
Witnesses said that the students of SP Higher Secondary amid pro-freedom sloganeering marched towards commercial hub from their institute.
The protesting students also blocked the road following which the police disallowed their protest march.
The students later clashed with the police in the area.
Meanwhile, scores of photojournalists sustained injuries while they were covering the clashes in the area.
The colleges and higher secondary schools reopened today after remaining closed for several days following the protests against the alleged thrashing of students in Degree College Pulwama on Apr 15. (KNS)
