JAMMU APR 04: Panther Party’s president Balwant Singh Mankotia made a scathing attack on the successive regimes of the state for deliberately ignoring the tourist destinations of Jammu Province and still these places are deprived of basic infrastructure. He alleged that present regime also ignoring the tourist places of Jammu province while 90 percent tourist influx is in Jammu region. Continuous neglect in basic infrastructure for tourist places is also the main cause to raise the voice of separate statehood demand in Jammu region.
Panther Party’s state president Balwant Singh Mankotia on 5th day addressed rallies at Chenani, Sudhmahadev, Mantalai, Sarad, Marothi etc and Rath Yatra for seeking right and justice under separate Statehood demand reached at Latti on Wednesday. While addressing the series of rallies, Mankotia levelled serious allegations against present BJP-PDP coalition government for ignoring tourist destinations of Jammu province. Coalition govt is not promoting tourists places of Joogdhar, Patnitop, Mantalai, Sanasar, Sudhmahadev and Latti which lacks basic facilities required to fetch tourists from various parts of the country. Due to wrong feedback about basic facilities at these places, the natural beauty of these places remain unnoticed and forced tourists to visit Kashmir.
Mankotia said that 90 percent tourist arrived in Jammu province and have great potential of religious tourism. But unfortunately, successive regimes spent crores of rupees in Kashmir region while tourist places of Jammu region remain neglected. As compared to tourist influx, Valley receives less tourists as compared to Jammu province but successive regimes ever remain concerned about the Kashmir valley. Continous neglect of tourist places since 1947, resentment brewed up among the masses of Jammu region forcing to opt the demand of separate statehood for Jammu province.
Panther Party’s state president Balwant Singh Mankotia said that after creation of separate statehood of Jammu region, tourist desitnations of this region would be developed with modern facilities so that local and youth of rural areas seek employment and earn livelihood for their family. Adequate funds would be earmarked for these tourist destinations so that Jammu province can fetch more tourist and become economic selfreliant. On this occasion Dhani Ram Attri, Master Kuldeep, Jagdev Jagga, Parasram, Parduman Singh, Girdhari Lal, Vijay Singh, Ramesh Gutpa and other were also present. (PTK)
