Srinagar, April 28: Direct firing on peaceful protesters at Kupwara in which another innocent Kashmiris was martyred and dozens got injured again shows the callousness of Indian forces who only know to kill and injure people at will. Illegal occupational forces are treating Jammu Kashmir as their colony. This was stated by the chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik while condemning the act of hostility by Indian army against innocent people at Kupwara. Terming the killing of 55 year old Muhammad Yusuf Butt as act of callousness and cowardice, JKLF chairman said that Indian army directly fired upon innocent people that too in front of media and cameras and even did not spared police. Media people are witness to how an army major pointed his gun towards common people and fired indiscriminately killing one and injuring many and if a police officer on spot would not have succeeded in stopping him, the death toll would have been much high. Yasin Malik said that this belligerence and cold bloodedness of Indian army, forces and police is because of the policies of fascist rulers who have given them a free hand to kill and maim people and who are on daily basis issuing threats to common people of Jammu Kashmir. JKLF chairman said that immunity from punishment has made Indian forces and army blood thirsty and they are shamelessly killing people with impunity. While expressing solidarity with the bereaved family of martyr Muhammad Yousuf Butt, JKLF chief also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in army firing.Meanwhile JKLF chairman has paid rich tributes to great martyr Muhammad Haneef Aamir who embraced martyrdom in 1991. Terming martyr Aamir as a great son of soil, JKLF chairman said that his sacrifice will always be remembered.
A delegation of JKLF comprising of JKLF senior zonal vice president Muhammad Yasin Butt and zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri visited the residence of Shaheed Aamir and expressed solidarity with them. Leaders also participated in a congregational prayers meeting held for Martyrs of Jammu Kashmir.
