Says dept fails to redress their grievance
Srinagar, Apr 21: Inhabitants of Tanchibagh area of Pampore are up in arms against the Power Development Department (PDD) for ‘failing to provide adequate electricity in their area’.
The residents according to KNS correspondent said that the receiving station at Tanchibagh area has developed technical snag during the recent flood like situation in the Valley thereby resulted in the immense hardships to the residents.
“Instead of repairing the receiving station properly, the authorities are subjecting the residents to unscheduled power cuts, which has caused lot of inconvenience to the residents especially the students,” they said.
They said that the authorities must not ignore their plights and should take some concrete steps as the receiving station in the area often develops technical snags. “The authorities should either relocate the receiving station or should take some concrete steps in this regard so that the inhabitants here could feel a sigh of relief,” they demanded.
Meanwhile, a senior official of PDD told KNS that they will look into the matter and will try to redress the genuine grievances of residents at earliest. (KNS)
