Srinagar, Apr 04: Senior leader of Hurriyat (M) and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League Mukhtar Ahmad Waza on Tuesday condemned the curbs on Hurriyat leadership, terming it as the worst kind of state terrorism.
In a statement issued to KNS, Waza condemned the continuous detention of Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Mohd Yasin Malik, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam and other political activists.
Waza said the government was doing such things out of frustration. “We were peacefully saying our opinion to people against the evil designs of India, but the government by exhibiting the worst kind of state terrorism and by imprisoning the pro-freedom leaders and activists in jails and houses has proved that they have surrendered before the RSS and will do whatever their masters will command them to do,” he said.
Waza who is under house detention, while strongly denouncing the firing on a small baby of Pampore by forces in Pampore yesterday and making another youth blind by pellets in Chadoora area, termed it as an example of human rights violations in Kashmir and appealed Champions of Human rights to come forward and play their role to solve the Kashmir issue once far all.
