Zulfiqar urges for political stability, peace and development

Addresses workers in Shopian

Srinagar, Apr 01: Reiterating the party`s commitment to strive for the socio-economic growth and development of the people of the state as envisioned by late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, Senior party leader and Minister Ch Zulfiqar Hussain, while addressing a huge gathering of workers in Shopian, said that People`s Democratic Party (PDP) has resolved to expedite and augment the efforts for political stability and sustainable peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to the workers Zulfiqar said that PDP has a proven track record of creating an enabling environment for the promotion of businesses, commerce, tourism and creating avenues of meaningful and respectable employment opportunities for our educated youth in the state.
“Our state is faced with many challenges; and the government headed by Mehbooba Mufti is working on series of reformative measures to empower the people of the State as was done by late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed,”
Addressing the gathering, General Secretary Youth and MLA Wachi Aijaz Ahmed Mir urged upon the party workers to reach out to people for a meaningful process which holds the promise for a liberal initiative, pragmatism and all possible help in the rebuilding of the agenda of development and dialogue. He also made a fervent appeal to the younger generation in particular to join hands for a new beginning away from dismay and distrust.
MLC Zaffar Iqbal Manhas while speaking on the occasion underlined the commitment of the party towards the declaration of Mughal Road as a national highway as it would provide a reliable all-weather alternative route to link Jammu with Srinagar.
Speaking on the occasion MLA Shopian Adv Mohd Yousuf Bhat said that party and the government is committed to reaching out to every nook and corner with sole motive of extending the benefits of the welfare schemes and mitigating the suffering of people.
Meanwhile Party General Secretary Rafi Ahmed Mir while canvassing for Tassaduq Hussain Mufti party candidate for Anantnag-Pulwama parliamentary constituency by-polls addressed various gatherings in Ashmuqam and adjoining areas and directed party workers to accelerate the outreach initiative of the party and highlight the achievements of the government.
