​DGP throws open Police Golf Course with “Tee Off”

SRINAGAR, MAY 25: The Police Golf Course was formally opened today for the season, with the “Tee off” by Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid at a function organized at Police Lake view Environmental Park here today.

On the occasion Dr. Vaid stressed on the fact that promotion of Sports activities is one of the major endeavors of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and that this Golf Course was established with the intention to promote the game in the valley. Under scoring the fact that the maintenance of the Golf Course is a challenge, he appreciated the efforts of the ADGP Armed J&K and his men in maintaining the Golf Course.
The DGP said that the contribution of this Golf Course is vary huge as number of officers have learned Golf from here. Highlighting the efforts of the coaching and support staff, Dr. Vaid said that they have been doing a commendable job.
Earlier ADGP Armed Shri L. Mohanti spoke about the efforts being made by the Armed Police in maintaining this Golf Course.
Among other  ADGP Armed Shri L. Mohanti, ADGP security, Shri Dilbag Singh, IGP Armed, Shri Mubarak Ahmad Ganai, IGP Crime Shri Alok Puri, IGP SSG, Sri SA Mujtaba, IGP CID, Shri A.G Mir,  retired senior police officers and the galaxy of other serving police officers were present on the occasion.
Central cultural team of armed police presented some cultural items on the occasion.
On this occasion, DGP announced a reward of  Rupees fifty thousands for the Central cultural team.
