PDP-BJP had failed to implement pro-people agenda and set an example of mis-governance


During Congress regime supply of basic amenities like power, water and ration were streamlined and sincere steps were taken to solve day to day problems

SINGPORA/SARTHAL/CHAMOTI, MAY 22: – Reiterating Congress party to resolve change fate of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Vice president JKPCC and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori said that only Congress party has a visionary agenda to solve political, economic and developmental problems of the State. He said that Congress has formulated its visionary agenda by incorporating wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society.

Addressing an impressive functions at Vohal, Singpora, Bhagra Sarthal, Chamoti areas of Inderwal constituency, Mr. Saroori said that on the one hand Congress has bigger agenda to solve internal and external dimensions of Kashmir problem while on the hand party has programmes and policies to provide basic amenities to the people Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. He reminded the mammoth gathering the previous Congress led government had implemented its pro-people agenda and set an example of good governance. 

“Congress leaders don’t indulge in self praising but the people have themselves realized that the Congress government had taken radical steps to solve day today problems of the common masses and to bring transparency and accountability in the governance”, he said and reminded that it was all due to sincere efforts of Sonia Gandhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Omar Abdullah that our government had earned credibility of the people as compared to present regime. 

“Our government had carved out a path of balanced and equitable development in the State”, he said and added that it was first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir that equal treatment was given to all the regions and sub-regions of the State be it in sanctioning developmental funds or delegating decision-making powers. He further added that sincere efforts were taken to bring transparency in the governance and to curb the menace of corruption. 

“We have revived peoples’ faith in the democracy and in democratic institutions through our policies and programmes”, he said but hastened to add that the present regime has failed to come up to the expectations of the people. “The people have no faith on the present government and this regime does not has even a single achievement to highlight during its three and half year tenure”, he mentioned and regretted that the PDP-BJP led government has failed to carry forward the agenda of peace and development. 

Calling upon the people to compare PDP-BJP regime mis-governance with 36 months short tenure of Ghulam Nabi Azad, he said that we had mitigated woes of the common masses through our pro-people policies. He mentioned during that period supply of basic amenities like power, water and ration were streamlined and sincere steps were taken to solve day today problems of the people.

During the tour, number of deputations met the MLA Inderwal and apprised him about the issues and problems confronting pertaining to their areas. The problems which were highlighted included improvement in power supply, MGNREGA payment, compensation of PMGSY roads, Opening of new Sheep Husbandry centres in the areas, enrollment of Aadhar card, scarcity of ration and other day to day problems, Saroori gave patient hearing to all the deputations and assured them that their genuine demands and issues will be resolved on priority besides MGNREGA liability will be cleared at an earliest as 70 crores have already been released for this purpose. He also gave on spot directions to concerned authorities for early mitigation of certain issues.

Later Mr. Saroori also addressed the annual function day of Madrasa darululoom at Paar Bhagra Sarthal
