132 kanals of poppy destroyed in Budgam, Pulwama

SRINAGAR, MAY 22: According to the Deputy Excise Commissioner, Executive Kashmir, the Excise teams destroyed 132 kanals of poppy cultivation in Budgam and Pulwama districts.
A team of the Excise officials destroyed 72 kanals of poppy in village Wakherwan, Nownagri in Pulwama and another team destroyed 58 kanals of Poppy in village Phalsil, Ratinapora and Kulbug of Tehsil Khan Sahab in Budgam.
The Deputy Excise Commissioner said that so far, a total of 1347 kanals of poppy have been destroyed in Kashmir valley by the Excise Department. He said the anti-poppy drive will continue till this menace is rooted out from the Valley.
