Terms acquisition of knowledge imperative for Muslim men and women
Srinagar, May 25: Inaugurating residential hostel for female students in Baba-Daryadeen Ganderbal, Jama’at-e-Islami Chief Ghulam Muhammad Bhat at the occasion emphasized upon the need of religious education in contemporary times.
Terming acquisition of knowledge imperative for Muslim men and women, he said the first revelation upon Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is about knowledge. Today we see Muslim women are diverged from real source of knowledge (Quran & Sunnah) and due to ignorance they get easily deceived from the influence of anti-Islamic elements and as such this section has been deprived from all rights granted by the creator of this universe to them in the teachings of Quran & Sunnah.
“The prejudicial approach upon women folk would be stopped only if Islamic Justice system will be followed in letter and spirit. For the same, Human Welfare Trust had decided to establish a residential institute so that female students will be provided religious teachings, besides a training program for women folk so that they will perform their social responsibilities. ‘By the end of this year HWT is going to commence class work and initially 40-50 girl students will be enrolled”’, Bhat said in a statement to KNS.
Meanwhile Former Ameer-e-Jama’at Muhammad Abdullah Wani also spoke and expressed gratitude over the said effort and thanked present HWT management for establishing such institution.
Besides Jama’at’s Central and District level heads participated at the movement, a big size of respected locals were also present who hailed this glorious effort. (KNS)
