AMK executive council’s term extended by six months
Annual conference to be held in August

Srinagar, May 15: The term of Adbee Markaz Kamraz ‘s executive council and the office bearers has been extended by six months in order to accomplish some pending tasks, a spokesperson of the organisation said here on Monday.
The decision to this effect was taken at a marathon meeting of the executive held at Kreeri (Baramulla) on Sunday. Presided over by AMK president Dr Shujaat Bukhari in presence of patron Prof Mashal Sultanpuri, vice president Farooq Rafiabadi, general secretary M Amin Bhat and media secretary Adil Ismail the meeting arrived at a consensus to extend the term of the body which expires on June 15. “In view of some unfinished tasks it was decided to continue with this present set up till December 15 but the president maintained that elections could be held anytime” said the spokesperson.
It was also decided to hold AMK’s 40th annual conference in last week of August at Bandipore. Some other decisions were also taken, the spokesperson added. (KNS)
