Budgam Police arrests notorious fraudster
‘He was hiding in Jammu’

Budgam, May 24: Budgam Police arrested a notorious fraudster namely Gh Qadir Bhat son of Habib Ullah Bhat resident of Raithan, Khansahib, Budgam, who reportedly was involved in number of cases of duping people on the pretext of buying their less valued orchids for a huge amount, but later skipping with the product without paying them anything but a small amount paid in advance.
A number of arrest warrants were also issued against the said person by Court of Munsif Budgam, however the fraudster evaded his arrest.
On 13-5-2017 the police official went to Raithan Khansahib to execute warrant but the said person misbehaved with him. When SHO Khansahib reached with police party to that village the said person along with his relatives and neighbours attacked the police party and did not allow them to perform their official duty.
In this regard FIR No 33/2017 U/S 147, 148, 336, 353 RPC was registered in P/S Khan Sahib. After the incident he was on run and hiding in Jammu. The Police party from Khansahib was able to locate him and arrested him from Jammu on 24-05-2017. (KNS)
